Onyx Interiors Ltd was formed in 2009, now with a broad client base, providing expert services in the refurbishment and fit out of existing industrial, and commercial units.
In 2024 the company was expanded and now incorporates a construction facility into this already tried and tested business. The construction projects are managed by a separate team providing new build, and or remodelling to a wide range of clientele. Such as industrial, commercial and residential, usually from ground up!
Both sectors of the business employ dedicated professionals with a likeminded attitude in handing over an enviable end product that the client will be proud of, on time and within the budget. The site teams are long serving, competent, tradespeople with vast experience and dedicated to their individual tasks, and proud to wear the Onyx livery. All operational people on site are managed by trained, competent site managers who are fully conversant with the Onyx health and safety reporting system.
All of the above is standard within the industry, but first and foremost it is imperative that everyone employed by the company is kept safe and healthy while they carry out their duties, whether at site or behind the scenes in the office environment. Health and Safety is taken very seriously by everyone, top down at Onyx, with zero harm being the guiding principle.
All employees at work are encouraged to take a second to think about the task they are about to start and ask “what happens if” and consider what would be the safest option, and seek advice if in doubt.
The Onyx Health and Safety is currently managed by a professional with over 30 years’ experience in construction Health and Safety.
Hazard evaluation, safe control measures, robust training, and safe, quality equipment is key, and an essential basis on which to build a strong health and safety culture. Engagement with the workforce also reinforces that culture
